1960's-1980's Classic Body Side Molding
This is a nice quality 1 & 1/4""
(31.8mm)
White & Chrome attached with 3M Acrylic Foam Tape.
Installation is quick and easy, without drilling, by using self-adhering 3M Tape.
Our chrome comes with a protective Mylar coating that shields it from premature pealing and scratching like other moldings. Our adhesion is better (no excessive tape bubble) and our materials are of higher quality, guaranteed or your money back.
For further protection and longer life, seal all cut ends with SEALITPEN
Includes 2 13 feet moldings (26 feet total). Molding will need to be cut to length. finished ends towards front and back beveled cuts towards inside body. Instruction included with kit.
When Trim-Gard started manufacturing Plastic Body Side Moldings in 1968 the original equipment manufacturers ( GM, Ford, Chrysler ) were riveting on metal moldings. Trim-Gard introduced plastic Body Side Moldings that were attached with 3M tape. The use of tape eliminated the drilling of holes into the body to accommodate the rivets that were used for attachment. Trim Gard's first Body Side Moldings were the 500 Series- 5/8" ( 15.9mm ), 800 Series-7/8" ( 22.2mm ) and the 1300 Series-1 1/4" ( 31.8mm ). The 500 Series, 800 Series and 1300 Series come in a 26' ( 7.9m ) length. The kit consists of 2 strips that are 13' ( 3.9m ) long each with spear tips on all ends. These moldings were universal in nature and are found on many of the classic cars and trucks from the 1970's and 1980's.
